The Red Sleeve Review

First of all, I will state this for The Red Sleeve: After a long time, I watched a series almost without skipping. Also, the episodes are a bit long. Despite this, it progressed without getting bored and aroused curiosity.

Again, a couple who met in childhood greets us at the beginning of the series. However, they summarize and finish without too much ado. Without exaggerating the relationship between them, they briefly worked without forgetting that the other people were children.

It's a series that puts a good emphasis on the caste system. No matter how much work a palace lady does, it is well done that they are despised and not replaced because of their status.

I really liked the couple. The combination of the two was amazing. Although Deok Im's treatment when he didn't know Lee San was the crown prince was harsh, it made him watch funny scenes. When he learned that he was the crown prince, I liked that he behaved respectfully and knew his place. Here, the crown prince loves me, he did not have an adolescent behavior as if he tolerated everything and I think they had a level approach to each other.

The scenes with the palace ladies were definitely very entertaining. It was very well done that they had fun as if they were in a girls' dormitory, became close friends, took care of each other and supported each other.

I watched Princess Hwawan's scenes with hatred. A complete arrogance. He's also very rude. I was tired of watching him.

  • CHANNEL: MBC, Wiki
  • SECTION: 17

The drama is based on Kang Mi Kang's novel of the same name.
It is Jun Ho's first drama after his military service.
The female lead role was first offered to Park Hye Soo, but she turned it down.

The Red Sleeve Story;  The drama is about the love between Deok Im, a free woman who wants to live her life as a simple palace lady, and the arrogant, also successful future king and crown prince Lee San. The series, which takes place in the palace, deals with many subjects from political events to love, on the other hand, it deals with social problems. It also offers us a difficult and innocent palace love.

The Red Sleeve Cast

Lee Se Young appeared with Sung Deok Im, a character that I like very much. Deok Im is an orphan court lady and a very energetic, free girl. Her aim is to be the chief palace lady. She is in love with the crown prince. She is offered a concubine, but she refuses. I watched him so fondly that I mentioned it in Doctor John. I think he suits the role very well.

Lee Jun Ho plays the crown prince Lee San. He is smart, hardworking, intelligent. He is in love with Deok Im, a court lady. Therefore, their enemies increase. Already alone in the palace, this situation makes things even more difficult.

Kang Hoon plays Hong Deok Ro, the prince's teacher. In my opinion, he is the most mysterious and sneaky character of the series. He has a very warm-hearted appearance, but it is not like that at all. He uses and deceives people for his own purposes.

The Red Sleeve Korean Drama

I would definitely recommend the series. I enjoyed every episode and I didn't miss a minute of it. It was also a pleasure for me to be a historical drama. In conclusion, I want and hope you to watch and enjoy it too. I wish you a good viewing.
